Who am I ?
Well ? to answer you question, I am retired. I worked for a Water District in Southern California for 33 years. I have a Wood shop at home and make all of my projects at home in my garage. I make my protects one at a time. They are not massed produced! I use quality materials and take pride in my projects.
How many employees do I have ? ZERO, unless you count me and that would be one.
How did I get started? I am not really sure unless it has something to do with my grandfather. He loved woodworking and my father did as well. They made a alter for the Church we attended back in Pennsylvania and a few other items. I have been doing wood working for years and just enjoy the hobbie. To me this is very peaceful and very rewarding when people ask you made that? It's awesome. So why not put my talent to work and do what I enjoy!
My only boss is myself and my faithful dog Kodiak. I work out of my garage and I have no overhead. I do not rely on this as an income, I just love making bird houses & feeders.
How much do they cost? I have a range of prices from $ 15.00 to the more expensive up to $350.00 feeders that are truly a work of art. You must be asking yourself $350.00 for a bird feeder? Yes and they do sell! They take over 8 hours cutting the wood and another 40 hours to put together as they are custom made. Each piece has to be hand fitted, cut, glued and nailed into place or screwed. I use a water proof glue very strong. I take my time and they are not rushed. It's quality I go after, not quantity.
So enjoy the pictures. If you have any questions please ask, I will do my best to reply in a timely manner. I will be adding more items as time go's on. I have some items in stock others I will have to make. If you are looking to purchase the Swiss feeder or the Gazebo I will have to make them as they take up a lot of room in my shop and I will require a non refundable deposit of $ 75.00 dollars as I need to buy wood and put other projects on hold. Thank you for your time and Thank you for your purchases. Any questions or comments are welcome.
I will be adding more pictures when I complete more projects. The pictures below are just a sample of the items I make. Your's will look a bit different due to wood colors and grain of the wood. My contact information is Raymond Collier E-mail visnav@sbcglobal.net Or you can call me at 760-505-0281 for any questions you might have. If you would like to place a order, Please order by the name of the bird house or name of the feeder. Thank you for looking!

Barn Owl Box.
Over the years Barn Owl Boxes have become all the rage, with the famous Barn Owl named Molly is San Marcos, Califorina. The owl was seen raising her brood on camera with a live stream video. You really got to see how they interacted with the family and the large amount of rodents & pest they eat when raising their young. The amount of pest they consumed was staggering. What better way to control pest but with a natrual predator. It's pretty cool when local Water Districts buy my Owl boxes for rodent control at their tank & dam sites. They love the quality of my Boxes and are better built than my competition. They are a bit higher in price but you get what you pay for.
These boxes are pretty large. I make them out of all Cedar which is a natural bug repellent. These are build very well and should last you many years. They have a hinged door on one side to clean them out at the end of the season. They have a strudy pearch for landing or just to sit on to over look their land for food. Also there is a divider just inside of the entrance to help protect the nesting area from the wind & rain. Each owl box comes with a custom built base for mounting over a 4x4 post or 2 2" U bolts to mount to a 2" pole at no extra cost, just let me know what you would like. $ 120.00 Price is for one Owl box. One on the left is made with Cedar with a RED WOOD shingle roof and the other is all RED WOOD. Shipping & tax not included.

I had a few customers that asked if I can make a Owl box with out a perch so this is what I came up with. There is no extra charge for the grooves even thought it takes a bit more time to set up my machine to cut the grooves. As you can see the box is not yet finished sanded but at least you have a good ideal of what the grooves look like, you just need to let me know if you wanted a perch or the grooves.
Church style Barn Owl Box !
Try thinking out of the box somtimes.
I make mine out of solid Red Wood or Cedar not cheep plywood or particle board and at a higher price. This one happens to be all Cedar. The main opening is routed smooth and sanded for a nice finish. I don't think the owls care but it's a nice touch.
There is a sturdy pearch for them to land on or to look over their land searching for rodents. The roof is constructed of Cedar as well and helps to
protect the owls as well during wet weather.
I do make a pretty cool box though. As for quality... Top Notch. I am after quality not quantity. I also use screws for better holding power and I use a Waterproof glue as well compaired to nails. On the right side there is a hinged door and a locking device to access the inside of the box for easy cleaning as they tend to be pretty messy house keepers.. There is not a divider that seperates the main entrance this way the owl can use the whole space for nesting. I have seen other boxes that are nailed together and that is great but mine I use screws and a waterproof glue. You just can't beat things that are screwed together for excellent holding power, and I like the way the screws give off a nice contrast. Come check them out. I truly believe you will enjoy these and will like the way they are constructed. I mainly sell my items at trade shows. Yours will look a bit different due to wood color, grain, knots, but you get the idea. I have a few finishing touches to complete on this one like my Red Wood Shingles and it should be ready in a few hours. I know it's a bit more but these take right @ 16 hours to make with all of the angles and custom fitting sanding and it's different.
I was really not sure about the opening I wanted to put it on the left or right in the front but I decided in the center for right now. If you would like your on either side just let me know cost is the same yours will be custom at no extra charge. This is designed to be center mounted on a pole or it
can be hung from the back using a 2" pole and 2 - 2" U bolts;
$ 140.00 U bolts included. Shipping & tax not included.
I do also make Bat Houses and awesome Bird Houses & Feeders as well. So check them out below! All made out of All RED WOOD or all CEDAR

The Mondo Condo Owl Box
Christmas is just around the corner tired of the same old gifts. Try thinking out of the box. Like an Owl box! What better way to control rodents than to have mother nature handle the problem no fuss no mess. Plus you are helping a mother Owl feed her hungry family as well.
This one is huge! 35" x 23" x 18 1/2" and is very heavy! I made this one for mounting on a 4x4 post and custom built it that way. Pretty east to install. get a 12' or longer 4x4 post, concrete it in the ground @ 2' and let the concrete set over night. The base will be attached to the bottom of the Owl box all you have to do is just slide it over the 4x4 post. and use the 4 included screws. Put the screws in the pre drilled holes check for level and screw it to the post and you are done!
The back opens for easy cleaning at the end of the nesting season and has a locking device to keep the door closed! It also has a Privacy wall in side to help to protect the babies from the wind. This is the third style of Owl Box I make and is the biggest I make as well. This is made out of 100% Cedar! It was put together using waterproof glue and screws. Extremly strong! If you are looking for other styles I make they are listed on Craigslist as well or you can go to my web site for Bird Houses, Bat Boxes, Owl boxes 3 types, Butterfly boxes and Bird feeders. I am after quality not quanity. This one took me 5 days to make so it's not a hurry up project. All of my items are hand crafted ay home by me!
$240.00 Base to mount on 4x4 post included. Shipping not included.

Did you know that Cedar is a natural bug repellent? So come and invite a Owl or a Kestrel to your back yard and you should be rewarded by them catching rodents and other pest! $ 65.00 Includes mounting hardware. Shipping & tax not included.

Squirrel Feeder
WHEN IS COMES TO RAIDING BIRD FEEDERS, squirrels are relentless. Without some sort of guard in place, they'll hit the feeder faster than the birds do everytime you fill it. Some squirrels can even manage to get around guards and deterrents with a agility that would make Spider Man jealous.
So why not give them a place to feed on their own and make it easy picking for them. You could use corn cobs, fruit or other items for this feeder. Comes with mounting hardware. Just hang it and load it with food and watch the fun begin. $ 20.00 Shipping & tax not included.
Butterfly box # 1
LIKE BATS BUTTERFLYS ARE A NATURAL POLLINATORS. Unlike the flying mammals, how ever, butterflys are beautiful and brighten any yard or garden they frequent. Attracting butterflies to your home by planting flowers they like is the first step in enticing them to take up residence. The other half is getting them to stay. I make two designs. This is the more expensive design. Here is another one I leave the natural color as I like to have mother nature weather them to help them blend into the natural surroundings. This is a newer version where the back opens and you can put fruit inside to help attract the butterflies. Comes with mounting hardware. Price $ 30.00 Shipping & tax not included. In stock.
ROOSTING BOX
Roosting boxes are just the opposite of a birdhouse. Where birdhouses need to be well ventilated, roosting houses must be sealed tightly to keep out the cold winter weather. This design with the heart cutouts says you care. The birds will welcome this coze resting place where they can congregate in the winter to come. The back is flush with the roof so it can be mounted to a post or tree. Comes with mounting hardware.
Price 45.00 Shipping & tax not included. In Stock.
Wren Box
IF BLUEBIRDS ARE THE SYMBOL OF HAPPINESS, then
surely wrens represent comedy. These busy little birds hop and flit everywhere,
with many of their movements almost too fast to detect. Their stopping posture
and raised tails are distinctive, and their song particularly bubbly in nature.
Although not the most colorful of birds, they are striking beautiful
nonetheless. Made out of natural Redwood & Cedar. Comes with eyelets &
chain. Price $ 20.00 Shipping & tax not included. In Stock.
Same as the one above but reversed per
customers request. In Stock.

THE PETERSON BLUEBIRD HOUSE!
BACK IN THE 70'S, LONGTIME BLUEBIRD enthusiast Dick Pertrson of Minnesota was concerned with the declining bluebird populations in the Midwest and West coast. Hoping to encourage breeding, he spent many years designing and testing a bluebird box radically different from the typical square house. Bluebirds loved the house's smaller floor area and the oval entrance, and when an article on the birdhouse's success appeared in the Minneapolis newspaper, Peterson was so inundated with request for the birdhouses he could not keep up with the demand. So I offer one here. In stock. These are made out of all Cedar, the outside is sanded smooth but the inside is left in the natural roughness of the wood for the babies to cling onto while growing. Comes with a eyelet in the back to hang from a post or a tree. Front door opens and has grooves on the back for making climbing easier for the babies when it's time to leave. Commercially massed produced they are right at $45.00! Mine are hand crafted one at a time and are not massed produced. Made here in the USA at home.
Cost is $ 50.00 shipping & tax not included.

THE BAT HOUSE
BATS AREN'T BIRDS, OF COURSE, BUT IN SPITE of the fact they're among the most benefical animals you can attract to your yard, they still get a bum rap. Sure, they aren't cuddly or attractive ( up close, in fact, you won't find anything uglier), but they earn their keep in two important ways.
First they put a huge dent in the local insect population, especially mosquitoes. A single bat depending on it's size can eat several hundred insects a hour!.
And second they are a natrual pollinators! birds perform both of those jobs, but the majority of insect-eating birds are strictly day-timers, meaning that bats take up the same job on the night shift for around-the clock benefits.
The Bat box is approximately 24" tall X 9" wide X 3 1/2" wide. Constructed of a Pine backing and the rest is Cedar. Inside there is wire mesh for the bats to cling onto. This is best mounted under the eves of the house or high in a tree. Comes with mounting eyelet in the back.

Flag Holder
Ok I know it's not a bird feeder. A while back I was given a battle flag that was flown in battle by my nephew. It was such a honor that I wanted to hang this in my home where I could share it and tell his story. As I was looking for a flag holder and the only ones I could find were made in China. I was not going to put a American flag in a holder made in China! So I came up with this! It's made all of solid OAK with a beautiful Walnut stain finish. Comes with a glass front and mounting hardware. Flag not

Flag not

Certificate holders
If your flag comes with a certificate, I also made certificate holders that hang just under the flag holder. Again this is made from solid oak with a nice Walnut stain. Comes with a glass front and a nice gold chain and hooks to hang it from the bottom of the flag holder. Price $55.00 plus shipping & tax. Ceritificate not included.
